Boil Order In Effect
Due to a water main break, there is a boil order in effect for the following areas:
On Adams from 8th Street to Mill Street
On Jefferson, Madison, and Monroe streets from 6th Street to Railroad Tracks
On 6th Street from Jefferson to Adams
On 5th Street from Jackson to Washington
On 4th Street from Jackson to Adams
It may take a few days for samples to be reviewed and the boil order to be lifted. In the meantime, we ask residents in the affected area to boil all water for 3-5 minutes before use. If you have any questions pertaining to this boil order, please contact the city office at 217-438-6151 during regular business hours or 217-438-3351 after hours.
City Taking Sealed Bids for Surplus Property
The City of Auburn will be taking sealed bids for surplus properties. The bids must be submitted to the Auburn City Office on or before 4/28/17 before 4 p.m.
Item 1: 1986 1 ton camo Chevrolet pickup truck, diesel motor.
Item 2: 2008 Chevrolet Impala police car
Item 3: Generator, diesel engine, 5KW, 60 HZ 120 phase, 120/240v 1 phase, 120/208v 3 phase.
Payment is due immediately upon awarding of bids and all property is being sold as is. All property can be viewed at the Auburn Police Department located at 324 W. Jefferson. Any questions can be directed to 217-438-3351.
