The City of Auburn is accepting applications for part time dispatcher. The position includes dispatching for police, fire, EMS, and the city utility department. Successful applicants must display computer, phone, and communication skills. Applicant must be able to multi-task and listen to be able to disseminate information without error. Applicant will be required to pass a background check including fingerprints and drug testing. Will be required to work some weekends and holidays as well as openings on midnight to morning shifts, days and afternoons. Call Chief Centko at 217-438-3351 for more information. The City of Auburn Appropriations Ordinance is available to view online or in the city office during normal working hours of Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.
A public hearing will be held on Monday, August 7, 2017 at 6:45 pm for any public comments.
