The Auburn Street Superintendent is declaring a weather parking order due to a predicted snow event. All vehicles and equipment must be removed from the city streets and right-of-ways, both paved and unpaved, including the shoulder from 8:00 p.m. Saturday, January 4, 2014 through 8:00 p.m Sunday, January 5, 2014.
From November through April…
For safe and efficient snow removal from our city streets, please help us during snow emergencies by removing all vehicles (including trailers, boats, campers, etc.) and other non-motorized objects from the roads. When snow emergencies are declared, notification will be given through the Group Cast telephone system, a notice will be posted on this website and e-mail notifications will be sent (if you have subscribed to our site).
Anyone that has lost or has had a bicycle stolen within the last (4) years is urged to contact the Auburn Police Department at 438-3351 or by visiting the Police Department in person at 324 West Jefferson Street. Individuals will be required to provide details of the bicycle in question. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Police Department.
The water rate increase of 25 cents/1,000 gallons went into effect October 2013 and will be reflected on the November 2013 bill. (This increase is one in which the Otter Lake Water Commission is imposing on the City of Auburn). Customers cost will change from $6.75/1000 gallons to $7.00/1000 gallons.
The City of Auburn burn ordinance bans all burning other than landscape waste generated from your property. The fires must be on the open ground (not in barrels or containers) on your own property and continuously attended.
Burning may only be done from sunrise to sunset.
